Faithful Is He Who Has Promised<\/p>\n
Are you passing through a testing.
\nIs your pillow wet with tears?
\nDo you wonder what the reason,
\nWhy it seems God never hears?<\/p>\n
Why it is you have no answer
\nTo your oft-repeated plea,
\nWhy the heaven still is leaden
\nAs you wait on bended knee?<\/p>\n
Do you wonder as you suffer,
\nWhether God does understand,
\nAnd if so, why He ignores you,
\nFails to hold you in His Hand?<\/p>\n
Do black doubts creep in, assail you,
\nFears without, and fears within,
\nTill your brave heart almost falters
\nAnd gives way to deadly sin?<\/p>\n
All God’s testings have a purpose-
\nSomeday you will see the light.
\nAll He asks is that you trust Him,
\nWalk by faith and not by sight.<\/p>\n
Do not fear when doubts beset you,
\nJust remember-He is near;
\nHe will never, never leave you,
\nHe will always, always hear.<\/p>\n
Faithful is He who has promised,
\nHe will never let you fall,
\nDaily will the strength be given
\nStrength for each and strength for all.<\/p>\n
He will gladly share pain with you,
\nHe will gladly give you peace.
\nTill your tired and weary body
\nFinds its blessed, glad release.<\/p>\n
When the darkened veil is lifted,
\nThen, dear heart, you’ll understand
\nWhy it is you had to suffer,
\nWhy you could not feel His hand<\/p>\n
Giving strength when it was needed,
\nGiving power and peace within
\nGiving joy thru tears and trial,
\nGiving victory over sin.<\/p>\n
So till then just keep on trusting,
\nThru the sunshine and the rain,
\nThru the tears and thru the heartaches,
\nThru the smiles and thru the pain<\/p>\n
Knowing that our Father watches,
\nKnowing daily strength He’ll give,
\nVictory for each passing hour,
\nThis is life, so let us live!<\/p>\n
